I'll post pictures tomorrow, but dang...what a great time!!! I got 20 hours in out on the trails. What a great time...for those of you with Jeeps that haven't gone to something like this, you should give it a shot. Skill levels ranked from beginners to guys that had been doing it for 30+ years. The trails I ran were 6+ on a scale of 1-10. Never thought I'd be playing on the rocks, but they were in front of me and my Jeep handled them with ease. I did manage to bang up the plastic end cap on the right side of my rear bumper, "polished" my reciever hitch a bit, and got some good old fashioned Rocky Mountain Pin Striping (scratches)...but that stuff didn't even matter. It was all part of breaking in my new Jeep.
Nothing like climbing a steep/rocky incline where you are pinned to your seat for 30-40 minutes at a time!!! Even got to winch some poor sucker out of a hole. It's great being on the "good end" of the winch!!!
They had a raffle after dinner last night and my wife won the grand prize, which is a set of 4 Good Year tires!!! Looks like there's a new set of MTR's coming in the future!!!
Anyway...I'm tired...need to sleep. Will post pics as soon as I get them on the computer. We took 100 pictures, so there will be a lot of scenery to look at.
We're going to the Moab Jamboree next year...this is going to be an expensive hobby!!!

Jeep Jamborees are something every Jeep owner should attend at least once in their lifetime. I have been to two Jamborees in Nova Scotia. Once as a trail guide. These events are well thought out a blast for beginners and veterans. Everyone has an aw some time. Glad to hear you had a great time! I am surprised you are only realizing now that this is an expensive sport ;D

I am surprised you are only realizing now that this is an expensive sport ;D I knew it would be expensive, but now that I've really gone out and used my Jeep and found out what practical things I need to add. After this trip, I want high clearance front and rear bumpers, onboard air, better skid plates, a good CB, bigger lift/tires, lower "low range", a True Trac up front, etc.... The bumpers and onboard air will be next...then skidplates, then I'll ditch the budget boost for an Old Man Emu lift, etc..., etc..., etc....

Gonna hit the Jamboree in Moab next year. It's in the Fall, so the leave's will be turning color and the temperature won't be too hot.
I'd like to see some more Unlimited's down there for that one...maybe the 1st wranglerunlimited.com club trip??? Just a thought...it's going to be a great time!!
