Well folks, last night wwe loaded up the 2 kids in the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited and took them down the shore for the night to walk the boards and get something to eat. We enjoyed the 100 mile drive immensenly in the Unlimited. Especially with the sunroof open on the way down. My kids loved it. The only negative part of the night is I finally broke down and smoked in the truck for the first time. I knew it would happen eventually but my wife made me feel alittle better. She said its a jeep..... Wipe it down and spray a little fabreze in it and you will be good to go... I started laughing... oh well.. what can you do. new car smell is out the window but its a jeep not a cologne factory. haha Anyway, i would say the only other negative would be the gas milage. The truck only has 2800 miles on it and its a 2004. Just purchased it last month. Perhaps its still breaking in . Loved the sound and the power of the 4.0 and the truck got lots of looks as well. Again, seen a million other wranglers on the trip and have yet to see an unlimited . I feel im the only one with one of these things. where are all the unlimited people on the road in south jersey haha anyway wife and kids loved the drive , i did as well, but will love it better when its paid off... hahahahhaha Rich..

I'm not a cigarette smoker, but I love a good cigar now and then. There's nothing like driving through the woods with the doors off, the top down and a good cigar. Makes you feel like General Patton. The .45 on the hip doesn't hurt the feeling either.
I'm with you. It's a sweet ride.

I hear ya Tim, a good cigar with the top down is the best. A few weeks ago I took my Jeep (with top off) outside of town away from the city lights, parked in the desert and reclined the seat while watching the stars and a few meteors. It was around midnight with a temperature around 75 degrees and I smoked a big cigar to cap off the evening. Driving at night on an isolated country road is awesome!

I will not allow the smoking in the jeep unless the top is down. I quite smoking 9 months ago... but my first experiances in a jeep were with the doors off, top down ashing out the side.... Ok I had to do it but hey if I can be a casual jeep smoker I am happy with it. I actually like the cheap cheroots like Clint Eastwood smoked.... It really is a testosterone thing I guess....

hey, I was wondering if you live around jersey? My girl and i are planning a day trip to the pine barrens aug 27th'05. I'm trying to find people to go with. The kids and I were there about two weeks ago, and it was a blast. Also about cigg smokin' in the jeep, if you have the top down, the wind will keep it smellin fresh all the time, but beware of the backdraft winds. Flick your ciggs far out. I just bought my unlimited about two months ago and a cigg landed on my soft top when it was down and burned a hole right through it. Anyway give me a shout back if you live around that area. Brian

Smoking with the top off is also a quick way to get lots of little, pin size burnholes in your clothes. I can't tell you how many dress shirts and ties that I torched, driving the CJ to work without the top. The hot ashes off the smoke go all over the place. Of course, having the sense to quit smoking years ago solved this problem. ;D
