Does anyone know how I can add a little picture to my profile,adn modify it???

Do you want the picture under your user name when you make posts?? If so, that is called your avatar. If you want a picture to show up in your signature beneath your posts let me know and I'll figure that one out. Anyway...I'm late to work  |

The first thing you'll need to do is sign up on a picture hosting site such as photobucket. Once you do that and have a picture picked out, go into your profile and enter in the "avatar" portion the web address for your picture. It should end in ".jpg". You may have to edit the size of the picture a few times to get it to work, but on photobucket, you can shrink your pictures 75%, 50%, and 25% of their original size...just shrink it a little bit at a time until it works...if you still have problems, I'll try and describe the process in more detail.

Any image program should allow you to size the picture by pixels. This site only allows 100x100 piexels. Get your picture as square as possible first by cropping it, then make your largest dimension no greater that the biggest pixel size allowed. Save the file as a different name than what you started with, and host it on Photobucket.com, or imageshack.com, or some similar free site.
When you host it, there should be an address to the photo that reads something like "direct link to image" That is what you would want to use.

I just take thier picture and put it into the avatar for them... Sometimes that is just a lot easier than trying to tell someone how to do it. |
