Does anyone use a rockerguard/rock slider re-inforcement bracket fitted to the inside of the jeep? Thx. My Kilby rockers include a backing plate that sits right under your door frame on the inside of the Jeep. I believe it uses 3 of the side mounting bolts to sandwich the body.

My Rokmen sliders came with some plates that go on the inside where there is a double wall. Nothing extra underneath.

I have schrockworks sliders and there are seven stainless steel bolts run the length of the rockslider to control vertical forces. Six additional bolts come up from the bottom through three large backing plates per side to clamp the slider tight to the reinforced floor. This provides a super-strong mount and eliminates the need for attaching to the body mounts. Unlike many TJ rock slider designs, ShrockBars FULLY COVER the underside, all the way back to the frame! The plates in the floor are about 4 inches by 3 inches. The first hole I had to drill was really hard. But after that I was committed and the rest were easy. I bought a couple of high quality drill bits and it wasnt really very hard to do the install myself. On the sides each bolt has a really large fender type washer only a little bit heavier. I did the winch plate first, then a new front bumper, then rear with tire carrier, then sliders, oil pan skid, and transmission oil pan skid, then an oil pan skid on my sons LJ rubi. I have never really done any of my own work until I got my jeep, now I am doing most of the simple stuff, greasing with every oil change, tire rotation on every other oil change, etc.
