My hard top has a few worn/chipped sections of paint from being hung up for the Summer. Has anyone put any touch up paint on their hard tops? If so...how well did it match up? I'm thinking I'll just get some flat black krylon and sand/touch up the few bad spots.

I have never seen any threads with guys doing touch up's just doing the whole top. I have a few spots as well where a tree was in my way. If you touch it up let us know how it works.

I figure now matter how it turns out, black will look better than the white plastic/fiberglass which is showing on mine. I figure a little sand paper, and maybe some brush applied paint should look pretty good... I guess I'll be the "test case" for this.

I have the dark khaki top on mine and with the chips being really white I hand mixed up some acryllic model paint I purchased at hobby lobby. It is supposed to stick to almost anything. I feel like I got a pretty good match, I used tan, gold, and black to get the dark khaki color. You can tell the difference if you get really close, but most of it is texture and not paint color. Out past 6 feet or so you cant see the touch up. I just did it this morning so dont know about how long it will stay. I think it looks lots better than the white.

Not a bad idea... I still haven't gotten around to doing this, but mixing model paint just might be the ticket for touch ups
