I just got my '08 4 dr. last week. I have ordered the hoist for the removal of the hard top from Lange Originals and waiting for delivery. I was trying to take the doors off yesterday and ran into a snag. I am having a hard time disconnecting the power wire. I see that there is a little "tab" on the connection, but I don't know where it actually disconnects. I don't want to yank on it and break anything. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks, Blaine

Can you take a picture of the power wire??? If there is no visible disconnect you may just need to add your own quick connect type connection on the wire(s). Us 2-door owners don't have wires going into our doors (no power windows). But...I imagine that you could just add some quick connectors and be good. You'd think they'd have an easy disconnect location though.

Thanks

The 2 orange tabs need to be pulled outward, and then the connector will come apart easily. It's the same type of connector that I've got on my hard top for the defroster and the rear window wiper.

Right on. Thank you very much. Sure would be easier if you had a third hand...

Actually, the whole orange piece slides to the right and then it disconnects quite easily. Thanks again for the help! Blaine

I know this is way off topic but!! I have been on a trail with the JK unlimited and with 32 BFGs it goes anywhere. I was hard pressed to keep up with it and I have a 3.5 inch lift, 33's etc. It is quite capable on the trail. Have fun
