About the only offroading I do is at the beach or mountain snow, I run the DC-1 polished wheel on my LJ, I like the look but can't stand how they look after a trip to the coast...spotted-up. I keep them clean and polished but man what a PITA. Thinking of going to Black steelies thing that "maybe" all I will have to do is spray some paint on them from time to time? don't want clear-coated wheels. who runs Black steel wheels and how much trouble are they? I have the Aluminum wheels as well. Not that much trouble to keep clean. I have a set of cheap Cragar chrome wheels I use on the trails. They rust and get chewed up. I run the Aluminum in the winter with BFG A/T tires. I would say go with the steelies. They are cheaper and can't be any harder to take care of then rockers or bumpers. When they get a little beat up, clean em and rattle can em. Good as new.
