i just bought an under body light kit, any ideas on where to mount the lights? theres 2- 36inch and 2-48 inch, i have a general idea for the sides and rear but it doesnt look like anywhere in the front would work.....

theres 2- 36inch and 2-48 inch Are these rock lights or neon lights? Are those measurements the physical size of the light or the size of the light beam? Most rock lights I have seen are small spot lights mounted up by the frame where it won't get wacked. |

they're sorta like show neon lights but are leds instead of neon tubes, i dont do a whole lot of rock crawling or any sorta off roading around here (just dirt roads) i have ideas to protect the side light tubes but i dont even have an idea where to put the front tube at up front. 36" 48" lenghts and about an inch in diamiter (sp)

Now all you need is one of those garbage can mufflers and you'll fit right in with those tuner cars.

what color are they? why not just mount all four along the frame rails?

Now all you need is one of those garbage can mufflers and you'll fit right in with those tuner cars. thats not very nice, i just like the idea of being the only local jeep with a light kit.... they can be one of 7 different colors, i like green the best but they can be red, blue, purple, white, greenish yellow, or cyan. i finally just went ahead and mounted them to the front and rear bumpers and put the side ones next to the frame rails |

Theres a guy in my area that mounted some of those, though the guy used two different colors, blue and green  not my cup of tea but if u like to hell with the rest of us  would still like to see a pic of it. |

Agreed that it isn't something I would do, but wouldn't give anybody else a hard time for doing it themselves. If it is done right, it doesn't take away from the ability of the Jeep - as long as there isn't a lowering kit involved!  Let's see what they look like!  |

Wow didn't have much of a chance to read everything on the site until today. Now people are talking about getting neon underbody lighting kits, 20in rims and low profile tires.  Need to add a new section to get together for drive bys along with Jamborees!  |

Wasn't the original driveby perfected in a jeep involving a large calibur machine gun bolted in the back? Or did G.I. Joe lie to me?

hehe, I don't think that was the kind of drive by he was refering to.
Drive by's started in the 30's by gangsters long before the jeep was invented.

I saw something like that at Coal creek he had them up on the frame at the top with a body lift it was problem out of the way.
well every where we went anyway.
Most jeeps that had them that nite had 4 and some had six small real bright lites and they were real neat riding around .I was in between them with nothing.
