I still have the stock tires and keeping the letters white is something of a pain in the butt. The white tends to collect dirt faster than I can put gas in the thing. I tried using armor all wipes to clean them and that did work but took more scrubbing than I was willing to put into it. Yesterday I cleaned the jeep and while I wasn't even thinking about tackling the "clean the whites" project something serendipitous happened. The new tire cleaner I picked up made the job so quick and easy I had to share. It only took me maybe 5 minutes per tire to get them all clean, including the white letters. Meguiar's High Gloss Hot Shine Tire Spray is what I used and the tires look about 10,000% better. Now to get them muddy somewhere. (by the way I have 1 partially used can of armor all wipes up for free if you want to swing by and pick them up. I'm done with those. ) :-D

I have always used Wesleys Tire Bleach, come in a spray bottle and does a nice job to. I still use it on just the black walls.

I'm still running the stock flares, even though my 12.5 in tires stick out way far. When I detail the unlimited, and wipe down the tires with tire shine stuff (eagle one) I usually wipe it on the flares as well to "hide" that "bleached" grey look. It works well. Anyone elso do that?

I use Mother's Back to Black on the flares about every other washing...once they get faded enough, I will just go for the Krylon Fusion.

X3 on the Wesley's bleach white. Used to use them on my BFG white lettering all the time. Works great.
I use 303 protectant on the flairs. I applied them last year and still no fading.

good old S O S pads that will make them white, but it's a lot of scrubbing and elbow grease........ rinse them off and some Armour all. voila that what I use. I would asume that there's better stuff on the market that for sure.

Another very cheap/easy cleaner for tires (blackwalls, and white letters) is to just use a dishwashing brush, some Comet or Ajax, and a little water. It cleans them up very good. Comet makes your tires look like new.

I have always used Wesley's bleach white on my tires for various vehicles and have always been pleased with how easily it cleans even the worst looking tires with or without white letters.

I agree, those SOS pads are great for cleaning the sidewalls. After they dry you can spray your favorite tire shine spray on them.
