nice looking ride. how much lift did you gain, and what springs (hd ....) did you use?

Thanks! Used the Heavy Duty coils....gained probably 3"-3.25" total with the springs and body lift. The springs were slightly used (maybe like 6 months on them) so brand new ones might gain slightly more lift, but this is what it would settle to...I'm happy with it though. For now, while this is the daily driver, I want a low center of gravity and 33's and this does just that!

how is the ride, is it what they all say "better then stock". How do you like the tires? i was looking at them also, but i've had swampers before and didn't want to have to listen to all that road noise.

Very cool - any driveline vibrations going up over 3"? I've heard that you have to run the SYE if you go that high but always wondered if that was true on the Unlimited's.

The ride is awesome! It really does ride better than stock...no doubt about it. The tires are amazing as well, the actually are quieter then the BFG All-Terrains I had on here prior to the lift. I am really happy with this set up. As far as driveline vibes...I have none. Not at any speeds. I have a Unlimited Rubicon therefore I do not need a SYE Kit because on Rubicon's they have a fixed yoke. You definately would not need a new driveshaft with this lift though. You have to remember that this is only around a 2" suspension lift...the 1.25" BL adds the extra height. A SYE Kit (for non Rubi's) and a CV shaft are only needed when you lift the suspension above a certain amount. With an Unlimited, from looking at my driveshaft after 2" of lift, I'd say you could easily get away with 4" of lift without having to worry about the driveshaft angle. The driveshaft on Unlimited's is probably a good 10" or more longer, therefor the angle is much less with 4" of lift then with a SWB Jeep. Does that make sense? Anywase, no, definately not even close to having and driveshaft problems! I would 100% recommend this kit to anyone who wants about 3" or lift or so and wants a smoother ride both on and offroad. I also did not even need the front adjustable trackbar I bought...the axle had only shifted maybe 1/4" to one side which is not even noticeable unless you take a level to it at each fender. So I just decided not to worry about it. The only other thing I added to this was I got an upgraded steering stabalizer. I just went to NAPA and got the Monroe steering stabalizer for $25. It's a great CHEAP upgrade. You can definately tell a difference and it is much beefier then the stock one. I know ALOT of guys who have up to 6" or lift and run the Monroe stabalizer and say they haven't found a better one, even using OME, Rancho, etc. that are a lot more money. Thanks for the compliments guys! Let me know if you have any more questions!

Yeah... But you shouldn't have to worry about the driveshaft or a SYE Kit until you go over 4" with any Unlimited...the guy that helped me install my lift on the Jeep said he doesn't think I would need to worry about the driveshaft until I lifted it to about 6" of suspension lift. Which would be awesome because probably in about 2-3yrs. I'll be moving up to the Rubicon Express 3.5" springs or Rockcrawler 4" springs.... ;D

Looks excellent. What I like the most is that you can't even notice the body lift. A lot of times, there is a greater space around the bumpers.

Nice setup Vaux. I'll second you on the driveshaft issues. I'm running 4" with no vibes at all. My big question is whether I can add a tummy tuck some day without needing a new DS & SYE.
Keep an eye on your tailgate. I'm told the TrXus tires are pretty heavy. My STS's certainly are. That's a big tire for the stock carrier.
I'm looking hard at the MT's when my STS's wear out. My 4x4 shop tells me they're about the quietest MT's out there. The STS's certainly are quiet, and they take an enormous beating.

I'd be interested to see how many miles you get out of the Truxxus MT's. They are a great looking tire, that's for sure. Give us a trail report after you've had them out in mixed terrain types. I'm going to take my BFG MT's up into the slippery stuff (mud/wet rocky trails) next weekend. So far they've done well on all the dry stuff, but this will be their real test.

Yeah I'm really amazed at how quiet these Trxus tires are...they really are quieter then the BFG All-Terrains I've had, and much quieter then the stock Goodyear MT/R's and Pro Comp MT's I've run.
Right now my spare tire is one of the 265/75R16 BFG All-Terrains I had on the Jeep prior to the lift....I didn't have quite enough money to get all 5 Trxus, so I settled for 4 and just kept the BFG as a spare. It's about an inch shorter, but the same width. I will hopefully be able to take a short wheelin trip before too long, I'm just always so busy it's hard to know when, but I will definately keep you all updated about the tires!
