Anyone put a 1 or 1.25 inch body lift on their 6 speed unlimited, I heard there are problems shifting after a body lift?

I have been contimplating a BL / MML for a while...the big advantage to me is that I can lift the shovel (transfer case skid) at the same time. Take a look at a tummy-tuck style skid and you can lift everything (engine, body, and transmission/transfer case). Now you get more tire clearance and more overall clearance - and you won't change the distance between the transmission and body. I was looking at a 33 Engineering skid as it offers a few options as far as what lift you put on and appears to make installation and maintenance easier. Maybe someone else who has more experience can speak up - I think this is my plan for next winter as I will max out my mod budget with new wheels/tires.

I have both the 1 in body lift and motor mt lift on mine for the same reason that Belfast posted. I wanted more overall clearance and to get away from that big shovel under there (stock skid pan) Is your LJ a Rubicon, if not depending on how high of a lift you are going with you may need to install a slip yoke eliminator. If you are only going to use the body lift and mm/mt lift with stock suspension then you may be ok, but I am unsure. I hope this has helped ;D

I have a BL and MML lift installed and no problems shifting or anything else for that matter! You should be fine installing both!

Some people have had problems with the MML and body lift only. I just installed a MML, 1.25 body and Jeepmedic TT and have no shifting issues.

i just did a jks bl and bmml, i had no issues with shifting. honestly i think it now shifts better, do to the fact the shifter is angled more towards the console. it's easier to reach.

I installed a 1" BL and 1" mml with the JeepMedic TT at the same time. After I had the BL and the MML installed I check to see how it would shift without the the TT. I couldnt get mine to go to 2nd 3rd or 6 th without the TT. (didnt even try reverse) After the TT I had no prbs at all. Guess every Jeep really is different.

If your doing the body lift to ditch the shovel only, you might check these guys out.. www.claytonoffroad.com/I'm still fully researching it but from what I've gathered so far their skidder allows for a more flush mount without the required lifts. However I haven't seen the product in person so I'm not sure if that is true or not.
