I was lucky enough to have Bob at www.TNTcustoms.com use my LJ as Beta for their rear corner protection. Which have proven their weight in gold more than once. As the build-up continues and the trails become more hardcore I started thinking back to my XJ days and how the rear quarter panels always got beat up. So I picked up some 11 gage sheetmetal and 1.25" tubing:    As far as body armor, I think I'm done...now to finalize the suspension...I'll keep you posted Joe |

Man that looks Bad A$$!!! It flows nicely with your rockers, etc. Are you going to paint them body color or, leave them that "satin" black, (if that's it...), color? Looks good.  |

How did you get the exact bend of the quarter panel???

How did you get the exact bend of the quarter panel??? I added to the existing corner guards I got from TNTcustoms. Simply extended the coverage to the door and bent/welded some 1.25" tubing some additional clearance. |

Thats a killer idea. Reminds me of the old MB's that had handles on the sides for the GI's to actually pick the Jeep up. Really good idea for protection though..
On a side note, I must say that is one good looking Jeep. The flat fenders set it off nicely.

Hmmm, I may make a set for my daughters XJ. I have Poison Spiders Trail Corner corners already, maybe I'll add a rail to them.
