After 30,000 miles with the 33" tires on the Unlimited, I found myself slowly using more and more pedal to brake. After doing a search in this forum I bought some Performance Friction pads for the front and some Duralast pads for the rear. I followed the writeup on 4x4xplor: www.4x4xplor.com/disc-brakes.htmlJust like the writeup said, the first panic stop was pretty soft. After a few more, the Jeep was stopping nicely. After 10 of these, I pulled over and listened to a couple songs to let things cool back down. My next panic stop locked all 4 wheels up hard. A few more of these and I had to stop because I was making an aweful racket in a quiet neighborhood.

That guy is the best! I've never read through his directions for the brakes before, but as usuall, he gives you every detail!
