I just installed my XM radio. I love the radio, but not the extra power supply wire that is plugged into the dash. Is there a way to wire it into the fuse block, or some where else directly so I can get rid of that mess of wire hanging in the way? Same for all the other cords, (cell phone, GPS) any one done this?

I crimped my powersupply for my Sirius radio into the back of the fuse block that is behind to glovebox. You can do that or get a fuse tap (or whatever they call it) and plug into the front of the fuse block.

Did you just cut off the plug in end and split the wires and attach them to the fuse block. I didn't know if there was a fuse inside the power plug for safety or if there is any need for an inline fuse.

I was thinking about doing this but found out that there is a _______ I forgot the right word but anyways it steps down the voltage! The reciever only needs like 3vdc so inside the plug it steps down the voltage! What I did is splice in one of those plugs that has like 3 outlets behind the dash and I plugged mine back there. Also have my cell phone charger plugged into it!

That makes sense. I have one of those splitters. I will just wire that in first and then plug in. Thanks!

I installed a painless wiring 7-circuit fuse block www.painlesswiring.com/webcatalog.asp on the driver side interior for my interior accessories and a plain old 6 circuit fuse block under the hood for those external ones. Don't have that many things other than an inverter hooked up yet, but I've got lots room for future stuff
