In response to my rant about the stock horn being ghey, I've decided I'm going to replace it. All of the aftermarket air horn kits come with relays and stuff. isn't there already a relay on the horn button? could I just hook the compressor up to the wires on the stock horn?
if I do need to use the supplied harnesses, does anyone have a write-up and/or pictures? a few suggestions on brands and mounting positions would also be helpful.

I picked up a cheep-o airhorn setup from murray's today and put it on in under 30 minutes total. Cost me 30 bucks alltogether or something, plus I have some female spade connections left sound is definitely increased, and funny as hell nonetheless. overall worth the 30 bucks

Did I miss something or did you answer your own question on this one?
I have a serious question about this build:
Did you decide to go with "La Cucharacha" or just a plain Ferry-type blast of noise?

No offense but the horn on my Rubicon is awesome. I saw a couple of your other posts, not to be rude but if you want to turn that unlimited into a real jeep, you should just sell it and buy a rubicon or a sport. Those Unlimiteds, if this is the same person, are meant for in-town driving. Every guy I have seen take one of those out has f**ked up their frame. If you are going to continue on trying to take that thing offroad, you had better be careful _____________________________________________

Nice 2nd post. Now why don't you go find a real Jeep forum and leave us poor Unlimited owners alone.

This happens on every forum, some idiot will come in and try to start arguments just for the sake of arguing...
I'd say back up your "messed up frames" remarks with photo proof...no pictures, then we can pretty much assume you are a 16 year old kid whose parents bought him a Rubicon in hopes that he'd roll it ontop of himself so that they wouldn't have to pay your way through college.
If you have nothing good to contribute. STFU

yes, I did answer my own question (well the directions for the horn did). It was an impulse thing, the single weak tone was really gettin to me. I went with the dual horn ferry type blast, but was VERY tempted to get the 30+ sound module set. it was 14 dollars more, and you could choose up to 8 animal noises, plus songs and stuff. sounds great, until you beep to pick up your girlfriend at her father's house.
that would have been hilarious, honking the horn and hearing "coc*-A-DOODLE DOOOOO" or a horse neihing, a dog barking, a damn sheep baaaah'ing, cow moo'ing, etc. funny stuff, but i've got a rep to maintain ya know.

Hey Calm down. I'm not attacking the capabilities of your Jeep. I am only saying that the length of the body can give problems when trying to make clearance on deep front end drops and on trails that involve a lot of finesse around the trail. I have actually seen it happen, where a guy has f**ked up his frame. Calm Down. And by the way, Mommy and Daddy are now Grandma and Grandpa. This is my 4th jeep and everything I've added to it, I've done myself. If you have nothing to say about the specs of my jeep, then don't open your mouth and let everyone know how stupid you are.

Before I got the LWB Rubi I had a SWB rubi. The LJ is much easier to wheel! Maybe it was your friends lack of driving ability that bent the frame! That would be my guess! Both the SWB and the LWB have their advatages over one another. Who cares about the specs of your jeep there are plenty out there that are bigger and badder than that! Think you need to find somewhere else to go trolling!

Who knows, but I think theres an opening over at Pirate4x4 that he would be perfect for. And I would take my Unlimited over a SWB sport model any day. To each his own though. I know, go over to an H2 board and tell them you don't like Hummers either, won't that be original!!!!

Hi Neal- Welcome to the site. I hope you like it, take a look around & get to know the crowd, the group here is a great group of people that I hope to wheel with in the future. Now, I'd really appreciate it if you got to know some of the regulars a bit more before taking a hard line approach- since the typed word can sometimes be misinterprited, etc.. Please don't take offense, I'l give anyone a 2nd chance but I won't tolerate someone new coming in causing me to receive a bunch of PM's especially when I'm laid up with the flu. OK, Thanks

Thanks Mike. thats all i was saying. I am not saying that I have the baddest ass jeep in the world, or that it is even better than any of yours. I stated a simple fact, a possible weakpoint in the unlimiteds. Every Jeep model has their weaknesses and their strengths. You can't sit there and go nuts because somebody points out a wekness in your model. f**k I get like f**k**g 9 miles to the gallon right now and if I Take a deep narrow trench I make bite dirt on my lean. So what!? You guys are more than welcome to point out possible weakpoints on my jeep, I invite them. It's the only way anyone is ever going to find a way to improve. Instead of jumping on somebody, ask for a clarification. I don't f**k**g Troll in other f**k**g Jeep Forums. I troll here -> www.rv.net/forum/index.cfm/fuseaction/thread/tid/16158075.cfm <-- at the Geo tracker and Sidekick Forum P.S. Not blowing smoke up your ass.

Well just remember 3 things please; 1- Honestly, I really don't care fro trolls at all 2- This is a family board / as it is a family sport 3- If you go to a Yugo board & on post 2 badmouth a Yugo you probably won't be welcomed too warmly.. PS- My other Jeep is a Scrambler, we can talk all day about its weakness but I'm very proud of it & my capabilities with it
