That's a nice detailed report. I'm looking into Sirius as I already have it at home. I'm like you I don't want to go plug and play so I'm thinking about a second subscription.

Thanks all!
I added a few more pictures and lightened up the ones I had already posted as they were too dark on my CRT (eventhough they looked ok on the LCD). I also added some review/suggestion info on the radio from what I've seen while using it....

Thanks for asking tag...I host my own stuff and we took a power hit yesterday. Forgot to check the server and it was simply powered off.
Rebooted and all is well again. Pics are now showing...

This is how I did mine! Routed the antenna to the drivers side roll bar.

Ok, this is where I installed my head unit. The funny thing is the unit looks like it is not level but it is. I guess I'll readjust it to make it look level. I put the base unit under the center console. Just about 1 inch of he end sticks out but no one has noticed. I think it fit pretty well there. I still have to hide some of the wires but that is minor. The rest of the install is simular to what you wrote up. I'm jamming now. With the 7 speaker upgrade I don't need to add a thing.

Nice placement for the tuner. I never thought about putting it there. Oh well....too late now... I did think about putting the head unit where you did... but I just didn't like the look and thought it would be harder to read while driving so thats why it wound up on the auto console. But having looked at yours with the manual, it doesn't look like my method was an option....Looks good though!!!!

I placed it just a hair below the gauges and I can stil read it through the opening in the steering wheel. The on time I can't read it is when the wipers are on. Doesn't really bother me though cause it normally stays on Faction 28!
