Hi, does anyone have any thoughts on the use of wheel spacers to use the stock wheels with larger and wider tires?
Good or bad?
Thanks! Jack

Depending on the size tire that you want to put on, they may not be necessary.
You can fit 31x10.5 with no modifications at all, and can fit 32x11.5's with a coil spacer lift with very little rubbing from what I understand.
Keep in mind that if you use spacers, your tread may stick out past your fender flares. This would require widers flares in some places.

Lots of guys run the Spidertrax spacers. They are "hub-centric" solid CNC machined spacers. Good quality stuff. For the average weekend warrior, they would be fine. When I go up to 33's, I'm going with the 33x10.5x15 size, so that I can still run my stock wheels and keep my stock fender flares....I actually like the look of the 10.5" wide tires, so for me it will be the perfect set-up.

I installed a set of the Spidertrax this weekend - seem to be very high quality spacers. I'll know more as I put more miles on the Jeep. In doing research on this over the past month or so while I put together the parts I needed to lift my Jeep, I realized that across the board people said if you use these, buy the best - do not buy the cheap ones you can pick up at Pep Boys or other auto parts stores.
