Hello everyone with BBs. I am looking at either doing the BB with BL or totally splurging for the OME 2.5". The questions I have for the BB owners are do you like it? Did you get the longer shocks and what kind? And finally did you get the BPEs?
If anyone has gotten the OME lift feel free to chime in? I have heard nothing bt good things about them.
Thanks,
Gabe

I went with a Rubicon Express 2" BB. I upgraded my shocks (per the local 4x4 shop owner's recommendation) to Rancho RS5000's. I think there may be some smoother riding shocks out there, but it rides pretty nice. I think in a few years I'll upgrade my lift to the 2.5" OME or the equivalent lift by RUSTYS Offroad. My lift only cost me $270, so I think I did pretty well for the time being.
I think the advantage of the OME lift is that you can get heavier springs up front if you plan on adding a winch/aftermarket bumper (to help with any front end sag issues).

Yeah I'm probably going to do the RE 2" BB with a 1" BL as well...I'm considering just using OME shocks with the BB but if the Rancho's aren't bad, I might go with them since they are quite a bit cheaper...I just can't decide whether I should go ahead and get seat covers and floor mats and some interior stuff first, and save up again to get the lift and tires or vice versa...As far as quality of BB kits, I've heard the main positive aspect of them is that you pretty much obtain your stock ride which is good...with the OME kit you're gonna probably have a better than stock ride. If you want the OME kit you should try out DPG Offroad and get his OME kit with the JKS 1.25" BL the whole kit is only $835.00 which is a pretty good price! As for me, I like the $370.00 price of a BB and BL better! ;D

Well...my wife just told me I'm getting a winch for my birthday!!! So, if I end up sagging too much in the front I may have to just go ahead and buy the OME springs and swap out the BB. I may have a barely used BB for sale here in the next month.

I am more than likely getting a used RE 2" BB with OME shocks for $250 shipping included....he says the kit has only been on his Unlimited Rubicon for 2 months or around 2k miles...put the shocks on at the same time...sound like a decent deal to you all???

K got a question, I already have a 4" lift new springs and shock, can i add a BB in addition to this? Yes you could BUT, it would make your control arm angles very steep=a very harsh ride. And correct me if I am wrong BUT, the only ProComp lift I've installed was Stage II with control arms that are fixed and not adjustable. You would at least want adjustable arms to accomodate dialing in your wheel base with that much lift. Long arm upgrades are nice but, $$$. Are you trying to fit larger tires? Is that why the BB on top of your 4" springs? My brother runs 37" MTR's on a Rubicon lifted with only the RE 4.5LA kit. flat fenders up front & stock fenders in the rear. It performs very well off road and drives quite nice on the road. Point being.......you can have a low COG, (better for both onroad & offroad), and still run a large tire. Just wondering what your build up plans are? ryan

I want to jack this thing up some more but i dont want to sacrifice to much driveablility. This is my daily driver, but i would like to sit higher and have some more ground clearance, and suspension flex while off-roading.
