We bought our Unlimited back in October and immediately got it lifted with 33" tires and new wheels. The company that installed the 4" lift dropped the t-case with 1.25" spacers. As a newbie, I never knew any better. After some conversations with another forum member (and Unlimited owner) Honaker, I became convinced that this may not have been necessary. This weekend I removed the spacers and bolted the skid back up to the frame rails. After 120 highway miles up to 80mph, there are no noticable vibes.
You da man Honaker. For the price of 6 bolts, I gained 1.25" of belly clearance.
I love my Unlimited.

Update... I put the spacers back in. Something didn't feel right. We're going to Colorado next week, towing our camper and I just didn't want the added stress to the driveline.
Perhaps I'm just a skittish noob.

Final update. Believe it or not, I've raised and lowered the t-case skid twice now. There are no vibes, so the driveline angles are fine. However, I did encounter a rattle under the floor, which was produced by this problem: www.4x4xplor.com/T-CaseTSB.htmlIn a nutshell, raising the t-case put the shifter in contact with something, causing a rattle. Sometime in the future I'll get under there and address the problem, but for now, I took the lazy-man's approach and just put the spacers back in for now.
