I know that the TJ rubi tcase (NP241's iirc) came with a sye & CV shaft. Did the LJ Rubi's come this way also?
I'm considering lifting higher, and figured that If I do that, I'd have to get a sye. Eventually, I'd like to go 4:1 also. So, I have considered just getting a tcase from a rubi and swapping it in. any thoughts?

I'm pretty sure you are correct on your assumption here, although I think you may need a new shaft for your particular lift.
It would be interesting to hear your story if you follow through on this. I have been wondering how difficult it will be to find a NP241 in the boneyards. My guess is that they're pretty sought-after.
Another option might be something like the Teraflex 4:1 conversion for your stock t-case. Add the 2-low option and in some ways you'd better off than a stock 241.
I've often fantasized about a 3-speed Atlass II. Man, that would be sweet.
