I don't know what happened today, but my heat this morning and Air Cond. this afternoon were only blowing out of the defrost/windshield vent, and not anywhere else, no matter where I had the control set at. Anyone with this problem or ideas how to fix it??? Thanks in advance, and I'll be in the pinebarrens this weekend so I'll post pics next week! ~JN

I took my jeep to Little Sahara State Park in Oklahoma (sand dunes), just before leaving the park after driving around for 2 days, I got stuck, sucked some sand down the hood vent, it jammed the door on the HVAC and I could not switch where the air came out. The dealer covered the repair but they had to take the whole dash out to fix it. It is possible that the solinoid which moves the door is not working, or a bad switch, I dont know how to trouble shoot it. Mine sounded like it was trying to work but the door wouldnt move. So you might start there.

Well, it was not a jammed door, but the problem was the vacuum hose in the engine. I fixed that, but now the ac stopped working. I checked fuses,relayws, now I need to check new hoses. Watta PITA!~JN

Anyone have any ideas? The vacuum hose is now fixed, but the ac is down, and when I stop, the idle goes up and down pretty badly. C'mon jeepers throw me a bone here. I'd hate to have to go to the stealership to get this fixed. ~JN

Well ended up going to the dealership. since under warranty. Anyway, got the vacuum hose fixed, the harness, and the ac was a electrical prob.
