I have the factory foglights on my unlimited. I also want to add a set of extra driving lights with a narrower beam. I don't want to drill any holes if possible, and was tinking about mounting them on the windshield hinges.
Does anyone have any suggestions for locations???
I also don't want to have to add a front bumper hoop right now either.

The windshield mounts are a nice/clean way to put them on. You could replace the factory lights with a light that has different beam options (narrow, fog, driving, etc...) I know that Warn and IPF make some lights that are multifunction. You wouldn't want to use your factory on/off switch for them (not rated for the more powerfull lights), but you could put them in the exact same mounting holes and just use the controller that comes with the lights....

I thought of that, but I want the extra set, and I already have them, and they are driving only. Do you think the windshield mount lights will impede your line of sight at all??

You may notice them a bit, but they are off to the side enough that they won't create any visual problems. There are also some light mounts that bolt up to the hood hinge bolts. They'd be REALLY EASY to wire up...the wire would just tuck in right under the hinge and go to your battery/trhough your firewall. I'm not a fan of that style, because you'd always be looking at the back of them. When I put some on, it will be on my bumper hoop. The one drawback of the windshield hinge location is that if you're on a tight trail they are going to take a beating from branches. But I guess that is what the guards are for.

I like the look of your bumper hoop, but didn't really want to spend any extra now. Of course by the time I buy the hinge mounts, I probably should spend the little extra to get a hoop fabricated.
Where did you get your hoop???

My hoop is the Warn Rockcrawler Brush Guard. It mounts up to the Warn Winch Mounting Plate. Got the family discount from a relative that works for Warn, so it was an easy decision for me. I have seen hoops that just bolt on under your factory tow hooks on ebay for like $40 or $50. KC also makes a bolt on hoop that will hold 3 lights...it's in the 4WD Hardware catalog and Quadratec catalog as well...
There are so many options out there that sometimes it's really hard to make up my mind what I want to put on the Jeep next.
