Okay Im not sure which one to get. I am going to put 2.5" OME springs on. I plan on getting the heavy duty spring for the front but what about the rear springs. They have a set for the LJ that says stock to max GVWR (part #OME949) and a set for the TJ that says for addtional 220 lbs of weight (part#OME942). I thought the LJ and TJ springs were interchangeble if so which one do you guys recommend. I definitly want the higher spring rate for the bumper/ tire carrier skid plates and so forth. Im was leaning towards the first because it says up max GVWR? Any advice would be great. Travis

I was in the same boat. Just ordered my lift yesterday. I ordered from DPG offroad. They are the BEST OME dealer around. Call them up if you need OME info. They advised me to go with Heavy duty front and rear. They said because my jeep was a daily driver to NOT go with the LJ rear springs, I guess they are pretty stiff. I'm also going to have skid plates and rear bumper/tire carrier, but they said the LJ springs are too stiff. I hope they are right! Only time will tell. Anyway, good luck, let me know how it goes and I will do the same when I get mine done.

I ran them on my WJ and they were great. It had a smooth on road ride and keep the Jeep level even with an ARB Bull Bar and winch on the front. I would go with them as long as you are not wanting a huge lift. I hope this helped.

Well I ordered the springs today from DPG. If you are looking at getting 2.5 HD you had better check that they are in stock. DPG told me today that the HD springs are on backorder till late May. . They were nice enough though to break up their last complete kit for me and just sell me the springs. (I already have the shocks on with pucks). Cambo you were right they told me the same thing, the LJ springs are just too stiff so get the TJ heavy duty. I figure even if it does sag alittle I can always add in a OME 3/8 spring spacer to level it out. They run like 15 bucks so its not a big deal since you get to keep a nice smooth ride. They should be here on wed. Ill some pics after they are installed. Travis

Hey alpinhi, I noticed in your sig you have a tt. I'm thinking about going this route because of the huge belly pan hanging down. Did you have to do control arms, exhaust mods, driveshaft etc? What brand did you go with?

I went with the JeepMedic TT. I havent been offroad with it yet but it appears to be VERY stout. You DO need to install a 1 " BL and a 1" MML to make it work. If you have a Rubicon model it then the driveshaft shouldnt be a issue. If you dont have a Rubicon and are planning on doing a suspension lift also you may need to go SYE. Im running a 2" suspension plus the tt with the stock driveshaft and have no vibes at highway speed. The exhaust does rattle on the front upper passenger side control arm. I hope I will get to this tomorrow and I will take some pics of how it comes out. You can keep your stock control arms they are not a prob. I think over all this setup is well worth it, I had a horrible time wheeling this Jeep stock just do to high centering. The JeepMedic TT is smooth and will allow me to easily slide over stuff. I think I gained almost 6"s extra ground clearnce between the TT, lift, and tires. You can see the TT in the pic above. Stay Safe, Travis
