I just installed my ACOS spacers, and now I experience a wobble after hittig a bump at highway speed, or sometimes with no bump.
Will a wheel alignment cure this???
Has anyone experienced this???

A alignment should fix your problem. Try aligning it yourself and see how far you are out.

Yeah, I think I will measure. Apparently It should be toes in about 1/16 - 1/8 inch.
Thanks.

Also check to see if your axle has moved over. The easiest way is just to site it against your flares. As you raise up, the trackbar keeps the axle from centering. You may have just moved up to your next Mod, an adjustable trackbar. I added one after the ACOS and it recentered the axle. The toe in can also create a wobble. Good luck.

Will an offset axle cause a wobble???
I did not get to measure the toe in as we had snow last night, and I don't have a garage.
Hopefully its just an alignment.
Thanks

First check your toe-in. If that is close. The alignment is done .There is no caster to adjust. I found that my front axle was off almost 1".But I also have the OME lift as well. It did take the wobble out when I installed the adjustable trackbar and made sure the toe-in was right.

The toe-in was out by almost an inch. I set it back to only 1/16 difference, and the wobble is 99.9% gone, but it pulls to the right now.
Will re-centrering the steering wheel correct that???
Thanks Jamie

Moneypit, was it the alignment, or the trackbar that corrected your wobble???

The alignment fixed most of it. But the axles were not centered so I added the trackbar to pull it back to center and that finished it. The main wobble was after a set of bumps like RR tracks, would send me wobbling. It doesn't do it anymore.

Which tracbar did you go with??
I have the OME 2.5" suspension and have the same symptoms. I am thinking of getting the Rocky Road Adj Trackbar to solve it.. $109 and does not require drilling.

I went with the Currie trackbar. Very stout and it has a special joint. I think it's called a Johnny joint that is supposed to last longer then the other guys. Could be sales hype who knows. There was no drilling ,justs bolts up to where the stock one was. Rubicon Express has 1 thats real popular to. I would shop and find the best priced one and buy it.

Does anyone have any experience drilling a new hole for the Trackbar??? It seems that is lots of space to do so.

I installed the JKS adjustable tracbar with my OME, does not require a bracket, does require "drilling out the tracbar mount on the chassis side. It was really no big deal, took about 10 seconds. You do need a 9/16 bit, big SOB. I couldn't find a 9/16 bit with a 3/8 shaft, so, (sorry wife), I had to buy a 1/2 drive drill! Oh well......

So I rotated the tires since the front ones were scalloped, and I removed the chinese winch for a return. Anyway....the wobble is gone. The steering is still a little light over bumps, but it does not escalate out of control.
There is not even any wobble towing a trailer (which always made it worse inteh past).
Also, thr front of the jeep sat 3/4" higher with the winch removed.
Now I can raise the front susp. a little more, as it sits at a nice height now.
Thanks to all.

Can someone explain how a longer trackbar cures bumpsteer. Actually, if anyone has a good explanation of bumpsteer, I would like to hear that too. I think that is what is causing my loose steering. When I hit a bump, it stters to the left, then back the opposite way a bit, then centers. Of course this happening at highway speed is very quick, and seems loose.
No more death wobble since the tire rotation, and had the Jeep at the dealership to check all front end components to make sure they weren' worn or loose.
Also, how would drilling a new hole for the rackbar be different froma longer one?
A friend just put in a Rubicon express 3.5 " lift, and it instructed drilling the new hole.
Thanks
