Well being that I try to perfect everything I do, I decided to go ahead and put the transfer case drop on. Problem I am running into now is that I can't get the Jeep fully into reverse. It looks as if it is stretching the boot and hitting the lower right hand corner part of the boot clip bezel. I have figured out several fixes but wanted to see if anyone else has had this happen and what they did to correct it. So far my options are to take the rod out and heat/bend it a little, or possibly take a little cut out of the bezel. Feel free to chime in with your ideas.

Were you getting vibes before the drop? If not, the best solution is to take the tranny drop out. It really is a work-around for fixing vibes without a SYE.
I have heard of people doing 3" lifts with the Unlimited without vibes due to the longer drive shaft. So if you don't have vibes, you are only decreasing clearance and causing shifting problems.
(now that I have replied without answering the original question) I think the best solution is to bend the rod.

No I didn't have any vibes. The driveshaft just looked to be at too much of an angle for my liking. I was thinking bending the rod would be the best option too but may just take it back out. Wasn't hard to install anyways.

Ok, I took the drop back off. Now I have another problem. When I went to put the drivers side middle skid plate bolt in it started fine and got about half way in. Then I noticed it kept spinning but wasn't going in any further. The nutsert inside the frame is spinning every time I turn. I don' t know what to do now. Any ideas on how to remedy this one? Im sure I can get the bolt back out by holding the washer part of the nutsert with vice grips. I guess I could take it out, drill out the nutsert and then put another in. Any suggestions?

Same thing happened to me. What I think I did, and possibly you is mixed up the bolts. The two in the front for the skid plate are slightly bigger I'm sure. So same thing happened to me, the nutsert is spinning. This happened when I was putting my muffler on. I don't have the very front skid plate on now, (because on my driveshaft angle) and need to custom fab something. Any ideas on that? Anyway your guess is as good as mine. Insert a new nut. Good luck buddy!

I looked at the bolts before reinstalling and they all looked the same size. I went back outside a few minutes ago and took a big flat head screwdriver and pried it between the skid and the nutsert to keep it from spinning. It worked pretty good and almost got it to the point of being completely torqued down. So im not too worried about it now as it all seems secure. When your saying that you dont have the front part of the skid on are you talking about the front 2 bolts just not lining up? Or do you have them out to keep the transfer case and transmission to set at an angle? I have this t-case drop if you could use it. If you want it let me know and it's all yours.

A little update. I took a big flat head screwdriver and wedged it between the nutsert and skid plate. I then proceeded to torque the hell out of the bolt. I managed to get it maybe 2-3 turns away from being completely torqued down. I think all is good now
