Might as well end this crappy day with a post. Went to install my lift this evening and low and behold my front diff cover is leaking like crazy. It's actually a drip and not a seep. So I ended up sticking my wheels back on and will have it taken into our Jeep store tomorrow to get it taken care of. I figured it would be better to have repaired pre-lift than post-lift just so they can't say anything about the lift causing it. Even though the Jeep franchise is part of my dealership they frown on lift kits. It looks like they just didn't get the gasket on properly at the factory so it should be a quick remove, clean and reinstall.

Yeah guys I agree and ended up not even taking it in to the dealer. I torqued the bolts down on the cover for now. I am working on getting some more money saved back up and am going to do some covers. Besides that the factory ones already have a nice surface rust look to them. What kind of covers do you suggest?

I just bought the Rockcrusher Diff. covers from WWW.Northridge4x4.com These things are very stout. They were running a free freight deal. They cost $125.00 each. The only problem is the D44 one had a bad threading job done on the fill plug. So I call Northridge and tell them about it. He tells me I have to call Rockcrusher directly as they want to handle all warrenty claims themselves. So I call Rockcrusher and the guy says send it back to us and we will send you a new one. I ask if they could send a pickup ticket. He says NO you have to pay to send it back. So while the product is good the customer service is weak. You should never have to pay to return a defective product. I will post up some pics when I get the second one and do an install.

I just placed my order for front and rear Rockcrushers as well. I have looked at several other covers and guards, but the price and durability of the Rockcrushers swayed me. There are some good reviews outt here as well...
