Hi everyone! I'm sure it's been discussed but I couldn't find the answer. I've got an 04 Unlimited. Stock suspension with a 3" Body Lift and 33" tires. Well I need an oil pan skid. I would like to eventually do a 33engineering belly up high clearance skid. I'm trying to determine which oil pan/engine skid would work with that. I also am concerned wheather or not, given my circumstances, would a SYE be required if I did a high clearence 33 skid. It looks like a 1 inch motor mount lift and transmission lift may be required. I am wondering if you all could share your experiences with lifting (or changing driveline angles) an Unlimited and the requirement of an SYE or not. And of course I'd be interested in hearing any suggestions on what I plan to do. A lift sometime in the future, but probably not more than 3.5", and when that occurs I might go to 1.25" body lift. As of now my future does not include going larger than 35" tires, and most likely just staying with 33' tires. Thanks a bunch! Oh and here she is before we got scared (due to lack of oil pan skid) and turned around!

Wow this board is dead, or no-one knows jack. But from looking at all your rigs it would appear that you do! Can't someone offer some advice??

I don't know the answer to your question... but, why not just call and talk to the 33 Engineering folks and ask them?? I simple phone call will answer your question.

I plan to. I just like to have learned all I can before I go and talk to the "salesperson".
I been misinformed before and just thought I could gather some realworld e-opinions about the many options. Thus having the right questions to ask, or learn to avoid a product all together.

I've only lifted my LJ 2" w/ a BB and that's it. But, I have helped mod many a TJ's & Rubi's, and read plenty of the topic of TT for the Unlimited. But all Jeeps are different! So with that said, you may NEED a SYE and CV shaft with "only" a TT. You may not. I would definitely contact the manufacturer just to be safe. Few options I have bookmarked in my own research on Belly Ups... nth TT No BL required. (but also say that you may need to dimple the tub...) Jeep Medic Fabrication BL & MM required for "easy Bolt-on application". (not sure if this means you don't need the BL or MM but, the 03 Rubi we installed one on, it sure made it easier and it didn't seem like you could get away without the BL & MM.) Can get a combo @ the RockShop... Medic T-Case & Engine skid33 Engineering T-case skid They seem to offer a few different "drops" with this skid. Seems like unless you use the 2" spacer bracket, (essentially lowering the actual skid plate), you will need to use a BL for anything but the 2" spacer bracket. You running a 3" BL should be fine to use the flattest version available. Teraflex Belly UpSome info on the Teraflex Belly Up(just type in Belly Up in the Product search window) BL & MM needed. I really like the Medic due to the smooth transition from T-case skid to engine skid. Wouldn't leave too much under there the get bitten by a rock! Good luck Ryan btw-sorry for the long post!
