I am thinking about going with a 2" bb and was wondering do you need to get a wheel alignment after you install the bb? Thanks

I am still not sure. I am taking my Jeep back to the shop tomorrow to have the tires rebalanced, and have the alignment checked to help eliminate some wobble after installing my 2"BB. I know some people that put a BB on and had no vibe issues at all, but I have a minor one at 45-50mph. I would say, to check that you are torquing everything down to spec, and if you are changing tires, have them balanced well. Other than that, I get the algiment checked if you experience any vibe.

You need to re-set your Toe-In after putting on a BB. I had mine done for me, as well as re-centering my steering wheel. I guess it's easy to do both on your own, but I figured I'd let the shop take care of it. I didn't want any pre-mature tire wear or steering issues.

It is doable with a buddy, but I had mine done at the shop when they rebalanced my wheels. I would definitely recommend an alignment after even a mild boost. My toe-in was way-way-way out of spec after my 2" BB. Too many miles in this state will cause uneven tire wear at best.

Ok i am bit confused how in the world does adding a 2" coil spring spacer affect the Toe-in?
Isn't the toe in only set by the rod that connects the left wheel to the right wheel?
If somebody with more knowledge of steering systems help me out???
I just installed a 2" rocky road (spacer) system and everything appears to fine.... I do have a Rubicon so I am not sure if that matters.... I am open to all advise...

I installed a 2 1/2" Old Man Emu lift. After the install it was recommended that I get an alignment. I took it to the shop and the guy said all he could do is adjust the toe in. So I said fine go ahead. When I came to pick it up he said the toe in was fine. But he did center the steering wheel that was off about 1/8th turn. I then added ACOS coil spring spacers and when I was done the steering wheel was off 90 degrees. The toe in was also off about 1/2". I have no idea why but it was. Along with this the front axle was over about 1 1/2" off center . So I ordered a Currie adjustable front track bar and installed is to correct the off center front axle. I did not want to pay for an Alignment again so I went on WWW.4x4xplor.com and followed their write up on how to do an alignment and center my steering wheel. It was so easy I was sorry I had not done it myself the first time. Both took about a half hour total. It took longer to get out and put away the tools then the fix took.

The reason your toe-in gets a little tweaked is because with the stock front track bar your axle will shift over a little bit and this will throw off your alignment a little bit. My toe-in was off just a little bit, and the steering wheel was off about an 1/8th of a turn just as described above. I'm "okay" with my axle shifted the little bit right now, but when I go to a bigger lift, I'll be going with an adjustable front track bar.
