Hello out there...Which do you think is better...a 3 speed or a 4 speed auto? The '00 TJ I had was a 3 speed auto. And of course the '05 LJ has a 4 speed. I can feel a difference when accelerating. Is it because of the trans difference or the additional weight that the LJs are packing...or both? Just wanted to know if it is me or someone else is noticing the difference.

The weight difference is not "that" different BUT, the trans difference is what I seem to notice. (of course after driving a swb on 35's and LA's for years, ANYTHING would feel like it accelerated faster to me!!!) The other very noticeable feature is the extra 10" of wheel base. Very Nice! It makes the on road ride seem less squirrly, and more controlled. I can't wait to get a lil' SA lift on it and see how it handles. btw-I'm right outside Chicago, in Franklin Park. Next time we hit the Badlands, (maybe Saturday...), I will let my fellow Chi-town LJ owner's know. ryan
