I just got myself some second hand Unlimited Rubicon rocker guards. I don't really want to shell out $86.10 for the mounting hardware. Is there anyone here who has taken a set of these off of there rig, or better yet, put a set on that can tell me what sizes the nuts and bolts etc. are to mount this up. The local dealership isn't very helpful, (imagine that) And the local NAPA can't give me anything useful with only the MOPAR part #'s.
I posted this question in another forum and got absolutely no response. Is there anyone in this crowd that can point me in the right direction?

Yeah, it's a pain sourcing specs for MOPAR kits. Try the Q&A board here: board.moparts.org/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.phpI'd think some of the denizens on there should be able to give specifics. Sounds like you already have the MOPAR numbers, but in case you don't: 10 of rivet Chrysler Part # 06503245 10 of Screw and Washer, Hex Head, M6x1x25 Chrysler Part # 06506348AA 12 of Nut, rivet, Chrysler Part # 06505175AA 12 of Screw, Chrysler Part # 06504352 (got this off an e-bay listing)

Thanks for the help. I have the same list sitting in front of me right now. I will give the MOPAR board a shot for sizes and specs on the hardware. Otherwise I may just have to fake it, or pony up for the actual mounting hardware.

The closer I get to putting these on, the more questions I have. It seems that a couple of the bolts are not going to be easily accesible under the body or inside the tub...I am wondering how I will get to these. Will I need to cut something?..I hope not. How do they do this on Rubi's from the factory? I have a feeling I will end up faking the nuts and bolts...which I am fine with. I just need to figure out how I am going to get to all of them. It might be time to take a trip to the dealership and crawl under one of the new Rubi's...think I will get a few stares? My only real worries with this project are the nuts and bolts. How will I get to them? WIll I need to cut? And what is the best way to straighten the portion of the body that is slightly wrinkled. The damage is slight. There is no lost paint, only some scratches down to the undercoat. I want to pull this out myself if possible, but am wondering the best way to do this. Any help that anyone can provide in either case would be appreciated.

Re: The bodywork is doable yourself, but it might be difficult to do a really good job. You can get a simple bodywork kit at places like AutoZone, with a "puller", where you screw in the tool, and then literally knock it out. Since you'll be covering this area with your guard you don't necessarily need it to look good so this might be an option. Do a search on eBay using the keywords: "dent puller" to find one on the cheap. Here's an example of one I found (no connection to seller): urlsnip.com/323389I haven't installed a rocker guard yet, so I can't offer any info on that. But, I did find a write-up with pictures on another brand: www.4x4xplor.com/LoD-Rockers.htmlTake plenty of pics and post a write-up when you finish. I know I'll be doing this in the near future and I imagine other will, too...

Awesome...this should help quite a bit.
I am not too concerned with how the repair work looks, as long as it is relatively straight, and covered by the Rocker guards. If I have to dreill to get it done, so be it...I will have to drill to install the rocker guards anyway.
