I was thinking about this for a few days now. I think it'd be cool to have a section of the site about mods, where there's a standard form to fill out including but not limited to the particular mod's change in on-road characteristics, off-road characteristics, degree of difficulty to install. etc. maybe a price paid, plus a little notes section in case there's a tip on the install or a really neat biproduct of it.
I know we have the "writups" section for this, but something a little more uniform would be GREAT. anyone else with me?

I don't know a lot about writing HTML, but I am not sure how feasible all of that would be. My last programming class was C++/Visual Basic in college os I am no expert by any stretch.
I think a sticky post at the top of the mods section with the general format we would prefer would be a good solution in the interim.
ie. 1) Before and after shots 2) Parts required and cost 3) Time needed 4) Explanation of process 5) Tips and Tricks 6) After Mod Review - (good and bad effects of mod)
How does that strike you?
I can put the sticky up if this seems like a good idea to anyone else. A little standardization would make the Write-ups section a bit more useful.

hey, sounds good to me. one thing I really would like to see in there would be a differentiation between on and off road change in behavior - some people are weekend warriors with DD's while others are solely trail rigs. . . . this will give readers a chance to weigh trade-offs.
I LOVE the addition of before/after shots and explanation of process - with the relatively smaller community we have here (compared to JU or the like), I think a format like this could really be useful. a larger community may need sub-boards for different genre's of modification, which I have NEVER seen before. plus, since all of our LJ's are new, we are all pretty much going through, or have just gone through the process. anyone else want to chime in?
