I just found out about this forum from a post by Jered on JU... thanks!

I'm a 53 year old guy from York PA, with an '05 LJ. Prior to getting this LJ in May 07, I ran a '71 CJ5 offroader for 16 years.
The LJ sure is a nice change....

One of the guys from EarlyCJ5.com named my LJ "LimoJeep", and it stuck

In May I found an '05 unlimited with only 10K miles.
The next day I almost bought a new 06 Rubi Unlimited... but the dealer goofed me around for 2 hours over $800 on a $26K rig... I told him to shove it. :angry
I saved about $10K by getting the 05 LJ, and I'm happy with it.
So far I've installed a 3" FT lift, JKS F&R adjustable track bars, OME stabilizer, Rancho 9000XL shocks, 33x10.50 BFG MTs on 15x7 Outlaw II, Rubicon flares, and Cassidy's front bumper, sliders and custom rear bumper/swing.

I don't have any good pics of the way it sits now, here's what I have:

First mods: different fog lights, and a nod to it's heritage... grille emblem from FSJs/Commandos of the late 60s:


Got the wheels and tires, but lift wasn't shipped:

Installed the lift on a Tuesday. Had a buddy come over and help me with the final adjustments. Did a home alignment a couple days later.

welcome! That bumper looks sharp. How does the locking pin work on the passenger side? every bumper I've seen only has it on the drivers side. Are there frame tie in points?

My Jeeperman has the locking pin on the passenger side also. That feature is to lock the swing arm into a "fixed" position after opening so far. Were you asking about the "latch" mechanism? I think that the latch is pretty unique in where it's mounted. My old Younger bros. rear bumper/tire carrier had the same type latch mechanism , (just on driver's side), & it rocked!

Sylvanis, As Rubi said, that pin on the passenger side is the hold-open pin. The latch itself is hidden behind the spare, so you don't see it at all from the back.
I had the same latch, but bigger, or my CJ5 swingout.
As for frame tie-ins, this unit doesn't have them. I might add a set from Rokmen next summer; the install is not as easy as it appears due to the body bolt in the way.
