Welcome to the board. You will love the LJ. It goes where ever you want it to with room to bring everything with. It's a win-win!

thanks for the welcome. the rubicon unlimited was close to the cj-8 in size and they have 90% of the mods i would do to a cj in place from the factory. i have built a few rockcrawler jeeps. considering the time, cost and effort (after you find a rust free cj) starting with a rubicon unlimited was a no brainer. My intended mods are 3.5-4.5in of lift, 33-35in tires and a warn 8000lb winch. i'm done with the hardcore trails so this jeep should make short work of anything i throw at it. i will post some pics as soon as I get it. it will take a couple of weeks.

Nice purchase. I like everything on it but the hitch. The one area I'm guaranteed to make contact, on nearly every trail, is my rear bumper.
You got all the nice comfort items, like dual tops and sound system. The mileage looks pretty good too. May you still be as pleased when the clock turns 200,000.
And welcome to the Site. A gentleman with your skills will be an excellent addition to the group.

Lynn, Thanks for the welcome. York, Pa? did you by chance ever know Ron Walp? My 5 bfg 33's and lift arrived today. I will post some before and after pics soon.
so far i have: flipped the visors, changed oil, rotated tires, replaced air filter, tinted windows and added husky liners.
4in lift, blistien shocks, adjustable track bar, rockcrawler rims and 33in bfg mt's soon to come.

dvr, that name doesn't sound familiar. Where are you located? Update your profile... Have you ever been to the PA Jeeps show in York? It's a pretty big deal if you like seeing 500 stock and modified Jeeps in the show field...

Lynn, He was a friend from York who passed away. We both used to be techs for Vanguard cellular (cellular one).
I have never been to the jeep show. When is it? I may try to make it next time. It is a swap meet too? I have lots of cj parts I would like to sell. I'm in Columbia SC.
