Then night started out great. Going to the gym and then heading over to this chick's place. The night is starting to look good.
I leave the gym and she sends me a text message. "Are you going to be here soon or should i get in the bath now before you get here?" I text back: "WAIT, i'll be there in 10".
So im driving over to her place in the Jeep. It actually rained yesterday so the roads were slick....see where this is going?? Im on a 2 lane surface street so we were probably going around 35-40mph. The cars in front of me start slamming on the brakes. Tires lock up and i'm sliding I control the slide over to the right hand side where there is a grassy patch. I made it..... then the ol Jeepster starts sliding into the drainage ditch. What a tricky situation to be in. The Jeep is sitting at about a 45 degree angle like its about to roll over with both of the 35" passenger side wheels are bogged down into the mud so all of the weight of the Jeep is on the wheels with NO traction.
Keep in mind i'm supposed to be at this girls place at this time
Well after 30 minutes or so of mud slingin' the ol' girl finally clawed her way out of the mud.
I would have felt like such a jackass if i would have had to get towed out of a drainage ditch.
I guess the point is that i love my Jeep and the fact that it lacks ABS is more than compensated by 4 wheel drive some skillful driving and some knarly Pro Comps....haha
Persistance is the key to perserverance as they say.
oh yeah, the rest of the night went very well too
and yes i know
but i didn't have a camera to get any pictures of the Jeep in the mud
just thought i'd share some Jeep excitement
