I found this mod somewhere and decided to post it. As always, do this mod at your own risk 
Total time takes about 1/2 hour and 2 beers
Supplies: 1/4in grommet kit (got mine at home depot)
1in wide black nylon web strap (stole some from my bike rack)
3/4in Rubber hose
Cut nylon strap to 14 inches. Double one end over itself and install grommet per instructions with kit. Basically cut the hole throught the doubled end,insert grommet and hammer the washer on.
Cut rubber hose to 6 1/2in long.
Slide ungrommeted end through hose. Try to keep the strap straight without twists.
Grommet other end.
Should look like this:
Drink a beverage.
Open rear door and remove 2 screws attatching sound bar to roll bar. Attatch your new grabs using the same screws.
Pop another beer and admire your finished handles.
Note, The screws are a little on the dinky side so I'm not sure I'd use the handles for chin-ups, but they are better than nothing.
