I just got an email about it last night. I didn't go to the 2006 one even though it was only an hour and half from my house. It seemed expensive to me. I want mostly trails, so I did a Jeep Jamboree instead for the same bucks. I may be wrong but everything I saw on Camp Jeep seemed more like a family party event, more then trail riding which I was looking for. I would like to her from people who went to Camp Jeep about their trip.

I have two sons in their early teens so the Camp Jeep activities are great for them - if I told them they were going to spend 8 hours bouncing around in the Jeep they wouldn't be too thrilled, but 4 hours in the Jeep, and then 8 hours of mountain boarding, repelling, snorkeling, concerts, free stuff, and they are fine!

Thanks for the info....Sounds like a great place for the family...something for everyone...I'll bet in a few years they may change their minds and want to drive the trails. How well do you fit ib the backseat? LOL

How well do you fit ib the backseat? LOL The older one has already laid claim to the Jeep once he gets his license, the younger one wants a green one so I'm safe as long as I don't buy a green one to replace this one.

Went to Camp Jeep in VA in 04 and we loved it. Went last year as it was 30 min from home and we decided to go back to camp in VA. Trails are good, weather was perfect, scenery on the drive there was awesome.
in 04 my wife was pregnant....oddly enough, my daughter will be attending her 3rd Camp Jeep and she'll be 2 1/2,

You know public relations people, they love stories like this!

Got our earlybird registration in and just got the rooms booked last week. We're staying in Waynesboro. I also talked one of the other LJ guys from my Jeep club to drive down with us.

I missed the last one in VA, but I understand the trails will be along the same difficulty level as those in the Poconos two year ago...would you say that is accurate?

I am sad to report that I had to cancel my registration for Camp Jeep this year - I had planned on going with my sister and her husband like we did for the 2005 event in the Poconos, but I found out last week that my sister has a tumor on her kidney that is going to require surgery - we decided rather then hope that we can still fit Camp Jeep into her schedule {she would be driving down from Rhode Island} that we would just go ahead and cancel the trip. I lost my mother and another sister to the same type of cancer so any prayers for my big sister would be appreciated. I'll be thinking of all the fun you guys will be having that weekend - I am really going to miss the chance to see the B52's in concert!!!
