who's going? we are driving from Nashville. Now, time to inflict mass destruction on the credit card with 33's and whatever else the little pea brain can think of.

The son in law and I are going to the Frenck Lick JJ in October. His new Rubi will be Christened that weekend. You guys have a great time at Moab. I want to get out there someday. Be Safe.

Should be easy enough to spot... Yellow Unlimited with hard top and Oregon plates. We got our information packet last week. I'm really getting anxious for the trip. Since I'm only on 31's and a 2" BB, we're going to do the "easy trail" (Rated 3-7) on the 1st day, and then one of the 6-7 trails on the 2nd day... I'm thinking either the one with 4 water crossings, or the one that ends up looking out over Arches Nat'l Park. I think some of the folks that I met on the Idaho Jamboree last year from Washington are going to be there in their Grand Cherokees. Good group of people (very good off-roaders). I'll keep an eye out for ya

Hello there! I am going to my first Jamboree at Moab.... I am getting excited but a little nervous! I only have a stock Jeep so I think I am doing the easy trails. I bought some tow straps yesterday... what else do I really need?? I am driving there from San Diego. I was wondering how far people would drive to these things... but I love Utah.. I am spending a week, doing some hiking and camping before going to the Jamboree. It will be fun!!

They give you a check list of recommended items to have. Having your own strap is a plus. Bring a folding chair for lunch time. If you have a CB it is nice, as you can learn a bit about the area and challenges up ahead. They will recommend that you air your tires down for the trails...do it. There should be a service station close by where you can air back up...so bring a tire pressure gage. I have an onboard compressor...as do quite a few others, it's not necessary...but it sure is nice to air up before you hit the road instead of driving slow for a mile or two to the nearest gas station. I'll be hitting the easiest trail on day 1. Since I broke my shoulder, I want to see how much bouncing it can really take before I hit anything difficult. The trail guides there will point you at the best trails for your Jeep. Tell them it's a stock unlimited, and they'll know which ones you should avoid based on the longer wheelbase.

I "needed" a 2"lift, 1" BL, 33's, currie rear bumper with tail bones, crane front diff cover, medic belly up and engine skid, and those nifty little tire deflators ($10 off ebay instead of $40). Make sure you got your tow hooks too. the moab jj is a trails only so bring food.

Last year in the raffle on the last night, my wife won the set of 4 Good Year Wrangler Tires. We put their new Silent Armor Wranglers on her Liberty (to the tune of $185 apiece). I'm hoping we get something in the raffle this year too... There are even more goodies up for grabs then there were last year!!! It'd be nice to get a group picture of the rigs from on here. We've got 3 sizes... 1 stock, 1 with 2" BB and 31's, and 1 with 2" BB & 1" BL and 33's. It'd be nice to see the changes side by side

Nice!!! Where's Mill Creek Trail at?? I threw my chains in the Jeep for the trip to Moab...don't know what to expect going over the mountain passes this time of year.
My Jeep is all ready to go... Two more days being a "desk jockey" at work... My bags are already packed!!!
