Both my Jeep and I need a tummy tuck. Since it's easier to do the Jeep I want to start there. I spent last weekend at the Safari 4x4 in Pittsfield Il. Its west to Springfield about an hour. It's a great place to wheel. All levels of difficulty and all on private land. Anyway to get to the point. The second day was alot of in and out of creek beds. The banks were between 3-5 feet tall. I had to make several attempts on some of them to get over. I would just plow into the transfer case skid and become a tetter totter. I have an oil/engine skid that connects right to the transfer case skid making a nice flat slide underneath. But then I would get hung up like a turtle on a rock. Who is running a tummy tuck or belly up on their LJ. Do you like the one your running and what all do you have to change. Do you need a SYE? Did you install it yourself?

I know what your talkin about!! I had the same prob when I went out to our local ORV last time. IT was horrible! I installed the Jeepmedic TT. It was a real easy install after the body lift. The kicker for the Jeepmedic is that you have to install a 1"BL and a 1" MML. You can go with JKS and get both the BL and mml for fairly cheap I think. I do have a slight exhaust rub now that I going to fix this weekend if I get a chance. After the TT the exhaust will rub a little on the passenger side UCA. The bracket just has to be modifed some to get it to clear. This is how it stands now with a 1" BL + mml, and 2.5" OME with 285/75/16s. The jeepmedic TT is very solid and gives you something like 2" more ground clearence. (Correct me if Im wrong) You dont have put in anynew brackets for your t-case like some of them out there. With the BL and the TT my shifters all ended up in the stock locations. Check out www.jeepmedicfabrication.com for more info. Travis

If I had the cash, I would probably go with Nth Degree Mobility. I believe it gives you 2.5" more clearance without the BL or MML. I think it's more expensive than the Jeepmedic but if you have to get the BL and MML it's probably a wash. Keep us informed.

Well I feel like a dumbass...forgot tires came in those dam metric sizes...I'll stick with some good ol 33x12.50's least I know what size that is without a chart.. LOL!!! I know when I got the Rubi I had to learn about those damn metric sizes and I thought, "Why can't they all just be flotation sizes, ie: 33x12.5x15???" And not to mention, the metric sizes are significantly more expensive! alpinhi, I decided to stick with what I got on the LJ....2" BB, 1.25" BL, 1" MM. It was as much a budget minded decision, as well as a "family" minded decision. (Hoping to start a family here soon & trying to have the wife jump into a 5" lifted Jeep on 35's would've been NOT GOOD!) The 305's were ordered yesterday and will be put on next Thursday! I will definitely post some pics when they are mounted! Ryan

LOL Im in the same boat. We are getting ready to start a family to. Thats why I went onhead and got rid of my TJ.. Still miss it though I love the Unlimited. I figure I may have to leave the soft top on so I can unzip the window and put the youngling in through there. I thinks its gonna be a pain foldn the seat forward. Travis

And not to mention, the metric sizes are significantly more expensive! Ryan That's because milimeters are more expensive than inches, because they have to be imported.

Travis I have a young son i have to put in the back seat in a chair. the best way is to stick the child seat in the middle of the back seat and put him in by laying the passenger seat all the way back. After you do it 5 or 6 times it will be like clock work. Much easier than folding the seat up all the time and climbing in the back.
