I'm thinking about getting a set of hood decals like the YJ's had that said Wrangler. This what I have in mind. Maybe you guys could extrapolate on the idea.  |

I like that (un) limited sign, and would love it as a windshield banner, but at the same time I want to represent Wranglerunlimited.com somewhere on the jeep. Decisions decisions

Heres another thread that I think needs to get re-looked at. Lets get the ideas flowin' again, and put up a poll on who likes what. Maybe we can get a couple of different ones going. Then when we all agree on what we like, I will personally get someone I know to make a rough copy and post it here. From there You all can decide what you like, and let me know. Maybe we can start off with some sort of sticker or windshield decal, or vice-versa. When I get the rough copy(s) and enough jeepers are interested, I'll start the process. Any money exchanges can also be decided among everybody. Please let me know. Again my guess is that the more jeepers we have that are down with this, the cheaper it will be. J-E-E-P ! We all know what that means!  Like I said, I'm willing to handle the slight headache of getting this together, but if we don't have enough jeepers interested, we can let the thread die until sometime later!! |

jeepnut if you are willing to take the lead than i would take it and run. I for one am in for some type of sticker or decal. Take what you want and post it I think most people will go along with a good looking idea that is eye catching .

Ok, I have been sitting on my hands a little on this. Len (kb5xg) was kind enough to help with the stretched LJ in my earlier post. I got the oval drawing in some earlier posts started but then have been waiting to see a friend that does computer graphic designs for a living. We are going to see her next weekend. She said she would be happy to it for me and get camera ready artwork that can be turned into a decal. I was thinking of the oval 7" wide and 4.5" high.. The oval would have tire tread (gray)going all the way around as a large border. The words WRANGLERUNLIMITED.COM on the top half of the oval over the tire tread (black) .I will get her a picture of my LJ which she will use, and turn it into a line drawing style. With a couple of green pine trees behind it on a (white backround ). The white backround would be the inside oval. I would like "Size Does Matters" on the bottom of the oval. If others have suggestions let me know. Just keep in mind the space is limited so it can only be a few short word. Maybe 16-18 characters only. I have someone locally that can produce these. After I get the artwork that I can show him I will get a price, from them and 1 other place that I already go a quote for a window banner type decal. They ran about $3.50 each in a quantity of 100 pcs.
Here is what I propose to help get this going. If someone will help by me by posting up a few suggestions for the bottom slogan if "size does matter" isn't to most peoples likeing. Put up a poll giving a few of the other suggestions and we vote. Also a poll as to who is interested in getting these and how many, so I can get a quote . I would put 2 on my LJ. The size I noted looked the best right between the front flare and the door opening.
Lastly, I will pay all up front costs to have these made and offer them, (one per person free) to the first 50 people that want one. If you want more then 1 you pay the actual cost of the extra ones and everybody pays for mailing costs. Any imput is appreciated. But it just seems that we could go around and around and not get anywhere. I"m not trying to take this over. It's just an offer. Let me know what you all think! Steve

If nothing else, I think the W and U should be capitalized. Moving in traffic it might be hard to differentiate for fellow owners, so I think clarity should be an issue.

I have an Idea I would like to share, Go with the oval with the LJ in the middle sideways (profile shot), on the top in a wrap around text Wrangler Unlimited. com, on the bottom We are the BIG BOYS on the block. i don't have a way to draw it up and post it, but I wanted to share the idea to the sign committee.

When you say sideways are you talking about this? It will cost alot of $$$ to get it going and I need to know that people want them. Should I start a new thread to get it more exposer. We need some more interest in this or it's not worth doing.  |

Like I suggested before, I think we should put up a poll after some of us throws in our ideas, like we have been, and vote on it. I like all of the ideas, and I think its great that a lot of us are involved, and should be involved. Its like for the people by the people. I think a new thread is a good idea, like post your ideas there, w/o too many comments, and after a week or so, start another thread with the polls. Then you (moneypit) or I can set it up. (By the way, I'm not sure how to do the poll thing yet.) I am willing to pay whomever, a reasonable amount of money, with the idea that that person should charge a small sum for their troubles. Most of us can swing some cash, seeing the flow they put into their rigs. Just my  |
